About Tracey

After a hairdressing career spanning more than 35 years, Tracey is still passionate about the industry. She started as a stylist for a leading salon group in the South of England, on cruise ships in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Following that, Tracey spent four years working for L’Oréal Coiffure in London, training hairdressers in the use of colour products.

She taught hairdressing at Southampton College for the next three years. After a career break to look after her two children, she set up her own home-based salon with a very loyal clientele. The family moved from the UK to Nova Scotia, where Tracey taught hairdressing at the Academy of Cosmetology (Dartmouth) and was an examiner for the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia (the provincial regulating body)

Tracey started Grape Hair Design in 2012, offering a full range of hairdressing services from her dedicated and fully equipped home-based salon in the heart of Hammonds Plains. As well as her British hairdressing and teaching qualifications, she holds a Master Instructor certificate
